I really like how this turned out, so much bloood! XD The reason I drew it is because I wanted to get the feel of the russian revolution which occured in 1905 and was most likely the date when Russia 'cracked' (as shown in the manga aswell)
In 1905, a group of protesters gathered outside the winter palace, presenting a petition to Tsar nicholas II. The Tsar was not there at the time and despite the protesters being unarmed and peaceful they were fired upon by the military, thus the revolution in 1905 being called 'bloody sunday'

this picture really captured the feel for how Russia was changed by the revolution dude. it's pretty detailed as well...and that blood...just...that blood.
